Curtis Automated Gate Experts Ltd was formed by Mark and Nicola Curtis. A business dedicated to servicing and repairing of automated gates, barriers and bollards with the additional capacity to maintain and upgrade access control systems.
Mark successfully started and grew an automated gate business to a large enterprise, installing and servicing automated systems but also manufacturing and supplying to a nationwide network of installers. For 20 years, Mark worked hands-on, building customer relations and an extensive knowledge of the electronics and mechanics of all types of automation and access control, a knowledge that is widely respected as being second-to-none.
Mark and Nicola began their working careers in the pharmaceutical industry, studying biomedical science and working in clinical pathology. Starting a new career in automated gates with zero experience was daunting but an analytical background and the experience of working in a meticulous and professional environment provided an excellent foundation to build a new business. At every step Mark has sought to elevate the standards expected in the automation industry and has embraced new technology alongside innovative thinking and a desire to introduce processes to ensure the very best customer experience.
Mark and Nicola decided to use their many years of experience in a new business, focussing on what they are most passionate about, customer service. The maintenance and repair of automated systems is a skill that is in short supply, with many companies lacking the experienced resources to provide the service that customers expect and deserve. The ability to arrive at any brand or type of system with either previous experience or a fundamental understanding of the principals, drives an efficient and accurate service. There are many reason for gates, barriers or bollards to stop working but a quick conversation to ask some key questions can quite often give us a very goo understanding of what may be wrong. We can offer free advice on what to look for and will know when it is best left to us.
If a system is correctly specified, installed well and maintained regularly, there is no reason that it shouldn't last for decades. Some components may need replacing in that time but there should be no need to start again.
Where your gates need a repair after accident or malicious attack we can write a report suitable for an insurance claim and liaise directly when required.
There isnt a specific time of year that is best to perform a service, just ensure the gates are serviced at the intervals recommended by your maintenance provider. Generally this is either annually or bi-annually depending on usage.
